An Object Of Beauty



Ok so I'm about half in and Trying to decide if the narrator LOVES or HATES the main character. So Far the lead character gives me mixed feelings while her confidence is empowering , her whoreish tenancies make me go from rooting for her to hoping she gets slapped in the face....Although I have to say I'm REALLY enjoying the bit of art history in the book and its making me want to hit up the local art gallery, or find kid friendly books to help teach my kids about art. So far I'm wishing i were in the upper east or west side dressed in black peering at art with all the other fancy pants!

Couples Photoshoot!!!





After a cancellation due to COLD weather we FINALLY got to participate in the winter couples photoshoot With Chrystal Morrison of Chrystal Clear Photography (London). Not too sure what the other couples got up to, but Justin and I certainly had a great time. Our photo shoot consisted of us getting Stuck in the snow and getting pulled our by a tractor!! We got to see some cows, and it was VERY cold, at -12 which makes me VERY happy we didn't try to do the photos in the -25 degree weather!It also makes me feel bad for the girls who participated in last years winter photo shoot as we asked them to wear sandals and basically no more than a sheet wrapped around them to keep them warm! I dont have any of the pics from the photoshoot to share but I will share a few from last years winter photoshoot. Keep an eye out for more couples and baby days to come.

Book of the Month Club


Even though I cant get enough of "Good night Moon" and "guess how much I love you" I enjoy a good book for me once in a while. Usually I like a a light hearted read but every once in a while its good to work in something a bit more serious Currently I'm reading "The Book Of Negroes" by Lawrence Hill which is fabulous


So for the Month of Feb I am thinking Steve Martins "An Object of Beauty" Feel free to pick it up and weigh in as well! Any suggestions for Marches book of the month ( I can usually read more than a book a month but we will see where we get)
